ATTENTION TAXPAYERS

At a special meeting held April 23, 2020 at 8:00 AM the Board of Supervisors moved to extend the 2020 tax deadlines as follows for both the Real Estate taxes and Per Capita taxes:

  • Discount period deadline extended from April 30 to June 30;
  • Base-rate period deadline extended from June 30 to October 31;
  • Penalty period extended from July 1 to November 1.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CONCERNING AMENDMENTS

TO THE MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Supervisors of Millcreek Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, that it will meet in public session at the Millcreek Township Municipal Building, 81 East Alumni Avenue, Newmanstown, Pennsylvania, 17073, on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, to conduct a hearing on Millcreek Township proposed Ordinance No. 061020.  The title of proposed Ordinance No. 061020 is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL PERSONS, PARTNERSHIPS, BUSINESSES, AND CORPORATIONS TO OBTAIN A PERMIT FOR ANY CONSTRUCTION OR DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SUCH PERMITS; SETTING FORTH CERTAIN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT WITHIN AREAS OF THE Township of Millcreek WHICH ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR ANY PERSONS WHO FAIL, OR REFUSE TO COMPLY WITH, THE REQUIREMENTS OR PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.

The particular nature of the matters to be considered at the hearing are proposed amendments to the text of the Millcreek Township Zoning Ordinance.  These amendments repeal the text of Article 14, GFP–General Floodplain District and replace it with new Article 14–Floodplain District regulations that meet the new national flood insurance program minimum requirements to ensure continued participation by the Millcreek Township community in the National Flood Insurance Program.  These amendments also amend the Millcreek Township Zoning Map by making changes in the Floodplain District boundaries consistent with the updated flood hazard maps prepared by FEMA.

Copies of the proposed ordinance and copies of the proposed amended zoning map may be examined without charge or may be obtained for the cost thereof at the Millcreek Township Municipal Building, 81 East Alumni Avenue, Newmanstown, Pennsylvania, 17073, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., prevailing time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.  Copies of these documents may also be viewed on the Millcreek Township website at millcreektownship.info.

All interested parties and residents of Millcreek Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, are invited to attend the hearing, where they may obtain information on this proposed ordinance and where they shall have the opportunity to be heard.
