MINUTES OF SEPT. 3, 2020
The meeting was called to order at 8:32 A.M. by Chairman Dan K. Hogeland, commencing with the Pledge to the Flag.
Present: Dan K. Hogeland, Chairman, Eric J. Weidman, V. Chairman, Scott D. Moyer, Supervisor, John Enck, Solicitor, Lorie J. Kupp, Sec./Treas.
Public Comment: no one present
Solicitor announced that an Executive Session was held on Aug. 25, 2020 concerning employee Scott Wolfe. A that a second Executive Session concerning employee Scott Wolfe was also held this morning at 8:00 A.M. prior to this public meeting.
Motion by Moyer to terminate Scott Wolfe for “gross insubordination” effective immediately. Seconded by Weidman. All aye, motion carried.
Wolfe’s remaining Vacation, sick, and personal days were discussed. Per the 2020 Employee Benefit Plan – all unused vacation will be paid to employee upon separation, Sick Leave – states upon separation or retirement he or she will be paid at a rate of $35 per day. Personal Days does not mention separation. Board approved payoff of vacation – 78 hours, and personal time of 62.75 hrs. at his regular rate of pay, and the sick time at a rate of $35 per day as stated in the policy. Secretary to write Termination letter, including that his final check will be issued upon receipt of keys and any township property being turned in.
